Franck Barista Academy Zagreb

In the historically protected Franck building in Vodovodna Street in Zagreb, we designed, produced and installed the company's new step forward in the direction of raising the quality of the preparation of hot drinks — a space that serves as a center of education, inspiration and excellence in the world of hot drinks.
With the aim of promoting the culture of drinking coffee and tea and raising professional standards in the hospitality industry, we initially conceived the space as functional, modern and open, with an emphasis on education and unhindered communication between participants and Franck baristas. The space is functionally divided into two parts – the entrance area dominated by a semicircular bar equipped with the latest professional equipment, while the second room is designed as an educational space and features an oversized bar table with circular seating as the basis of the room, further emphasized by handmade metal chandeliers.
To highlight Franck's rich historical heritage, sustainable materials such as wood and iron were used in the construction of all interior elements, while the design is based on simple and clean lines that denote the company's modernity and modern business. Sustainable materials and processing methods are accompanied in every detail of the space, also following Franck's commitment to these principles in its production.
All walls are finished in a white coffee technique and decorated with educational tempered glass panels to maintain the transparency of the space and visibility of the finished walls. The basic lighting is unified and simplified to keep the emphasis on the main elements of the interior, while being modular to allow flexibility in optimal lighting of the space.
